Not such a good deal methinks. Before xmas one of my mates got a 5150, with a 19" TFT , DVDRW and X600 graphics for £535 including delivery.

As always with Dell there will often be a better deal that is just around the corner.

This is a pretty good deal but by no means the best they have had.

Best deal at the mo, Tho.

ok I have found out how to get it to 470 now using home, does anyone know what graphics card (128mb etc) it has and whether its any good because I have no clue about graphics cards
It depends very much on what you want to do with your PC. If you only want to play simple games and do internet, word processing etc. then the 128MB X300SE card that it comes with will be fine. If you want to play any more intensive 3D games (like Doom3, Half-Life 2, FarCry etc. then you should consider paying the extra £20 (I think it is) and upgrading to the 256MB X600 card.
I have a 5100 which I got a few months ago when the prices were stupid and I took out the X300SE card and put an NVidia 128MB 6600GT card in its place - cost me about £115 extra but it was worth it. For those people who are interested in 3D benchmarking I got a score of 9,300 in 3DMark2001SE with the ATI X300SE card and 17,000 with the NVidia 6600GT (at the native resolution of 1280x1024 which the 17" and 19" TFT monitors use).

hey, I emailed dell about cancelling an order and they called me back with this number 01234567890, since they're number on their website starts with 0870, I thought some of you might want to try a number thats a landline, although I haven't called them myself so I don't know whether they will deal with you query. They have a pretty nice number though! 01234567890, I know it might look like I made it up but I didnt!!

Also, why can't you select 'no monitor' on packages on the Dell site? You can with Watford Electronics and other places.....

you should be able to if you go into the small business part of the site - thats what I am doing as I am buying a separate 19" TFT from somewhere else - MUCH cheaper than what Dell wants for one :D
