It arrived today and the noise isn't too bad, I am sure my husband can live with it.

Well, I am not going to attempt to take it off him!

He is playing Fable 2 for the first time now, well to be honest it is the first time he has played on a 360.

He even took a days holiday so that he could play on it as soon as it arrived, glad that it was delivered at 8am.

they are loud only when a game disc is in. anything else you do doesnt cause much noise. the noise is quite annoying but you sort of get used to it.

We haven't gone online/live with it yet.

Not really sure which is the best way to go about it.

Do we just connect the long ethernet cable into the xbox and the other into the back of the pc? (the router is upstairs in my daughter's room), or will it be best to dig the old modem out and connect it through that ?

I know it is probably a daft question but don't all laugh........ if you are connecting it through your pc, could any viruses be transf from pc to xbox?

i used to connect mine into the modem but i now use the official wireless adapter as its much easier with the router being downstairs and the xbox upstairs
