If you are thinking of getting a Sky+ box and also interested in the new HDTV broadcasts,
be aware that the current Sky + box will not work with HDTV.
Sky are bringing out a new digibox in 2006 that will work with HDTV.
(What the cost will be is unknown)

Thats why Sky are doing deals on Sky+ boxes.
HDTV boxes are rumoured to cost between £300 and £500 and an extra £10 a month subscription.
If you are not prepared to fork out the extra money, it is not worth buying an HD ready TV. Personally I wouldn't buy a new TV until they have 3 HD input sockets. most only have 1. With HD DVD coming soon and next generation game consols all using HD inputs, you will need them.(".)0 -
really thick question
whats hd

Hopefully once the technology has taken off then the prices will drop to a reasonable price as there is no way I would spend between £300 - £500 on a Sky HD box then an extra £10 per month subscription charge.0

Initially Sky have said they will offer the following HD channels:
SkySports
SkyMovies
SkyOne
Artsworld and
BoxOffice (pay Per View)
