Help - Is this a good deal (take 2!)

It's a Toshiba Sat L300D-121 Laptop:

AMD Athlon XD Dual Core QL60
1.9 Ghz Processor
Windows Vista Home Premium
1024mb DDR2
160Gb HDD
15.4" Trubrite WXGA TFT
DVD Super Multi Drive
Ati Radeon 3100, up to 1407mb shared graphics
Wireless, 802.11 b/g
VGA Web Cam
I can get this for £285 and an extended 2 year warranty is £85 (but not sure this is worth it). Is this a good deal. My original budget was £250 but this seems pretty good for under £300 I think, but I know nothing!!!!
Any comments would be apprechiated.
Thanks.

  • Pretty basic spec, and I would recommend looking for something with a minimum of 2Gb of RAM (1048mb DDR bit, look for one that says 2048mb or 2gb) for running Vista otherwise it will be REALLY slow.

Good price though. All depends what you want to use it for?

Have just come accross this Toshiba Laptop L300 - 11C
Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T2370
(1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
    2 GB Memory
    160 GB Hard drive
I can get this for £276, is this a better deal

It doesn't have a webcam like the other one, not though that is a problem for me. I need it for internet browsing, word processing and watching tv programmes online, burning music, etc.... No gaming, etc...

May I ask which sites you're looking at for these deals?
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

Well it is cheaper and has more RAM. The processor differences shouldn't be noticeable. It will do all you want it too. :D
