Capital One - rejected payment?

Hi
I paid my Capital One bill on Friday 14th, it showed (and still shows) as payment received, and I am able to spend on the card again (it was up to the limit).
The payment showed as pending on my RBS account yesterday, however today it doesn't, and my available balance has shot back up by the amount I paid. I've spoken to RBS and they say I need to find out what's happened from Capital One, however going through to those foreign call centres makes me want to rip my eyes out so I'd rather not have to call.
Has anyone had any experience of this before?

Thanks louiser123 - I'll keep an eye on it.
I should have added that I made a £1 payment earlier the same week to take it back under it's limit, with the same Maestro card, and that went through fine.0 -
I think this has happened to me too. I paid my balance off as normal a week ago and saw an entry on the transaction summary page saying "payment received - thank you". I didn't think nothing of it until today when I checked my current account online and saw the payment was never taken. It's now passed the due date for payment on the card so is it likely to show on my statement that I never made the payment or will C1 just debit my account at some time?0

Just an update on this - I still haven't had the payment taken, and Capital One are still showing as having received the payment. I have taken a screenshot of the confirmation and reference number. I'd suggest you do the same Allan87 .0

Another update - it's finally come out today, 14 days after I made the payment. Luckily I'd kept the money in my account!0
