So Mardatha did you get over the cost on Boots!! We all need a bit of pampering stuff tho, I have long natural nails but haven't got any nail varnish at the mo, anyway the chickens always think my fingertips are currants so its for the best. But somedays I miss putting my tutty on for work and feeling a bit glam!
Ceridwen, that garden looks so neatmakes mine look like Steptoes back yard, but it makes me happy.
Sammy, good luck hunny, hope all goes well.
Went to tesco's with my bonus cash and bought a cross stitch mag - luxury or what, cannot remember the last time I had a brand new mag!! Only got it cos it was choc full of really good charts and will use at least 10 of them for Christmas gifts. other than that the price of food in there depressed me. Then came home to find electric bill on mat - OMG am I powering the street lights :eek: I have religiously switched off and cut back, staying up till midnight to put wash and dishwash on after economy 7 switches over. No good Im going to have to use my wind up torch and all sit huddled round it. Am a bit fed up now....Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
ginnyknit - no need to stay up until midnight to switch your washing machine onto Economy 7.
Get yourself a couple of those cheapo automatic plug in timer switches and trigger them to come on during the Economy 7 hours. Places like B & Q sell them very cheaply or you can check with the Community Safety department at your local council. They sometimes have them available free or on special offer as a Crime Prevention measure, to encourage people to put them onto table lamps at night to come on automatically to make your house look occupied if there's nobody at home.0 -

Ah, good idea! And it will save you more electricity cos you can go to bed and not have lights on.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

That's why I am getting ready for another trip up north, now that I have used up the storecupboard I filled last summer. It does make a fairly big difference if you do a big storecupboard shop in one go, and add the coming week's shop and a load of alcohol to it as well. Not worth a regular trip, I find, but once every 3 months or more I think it's well worth it.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Thank you Primrose, I hadn't thought of that - I am so dim - I have one lurking somewhere!
Lauren, I went and goggled Totsbots cos I have never heard of them, look good, well done dying them, funky nappies or what. While I was on the site I saw knitted bootees 9.99 - I make them and they cost pennies to do, I am going wrong somewhere.
Mardatha, my Dd went to clinic the other day so early nights will be safe :rotfl:and Im well past my sell by date so just the sound of quiet snoring in this house.

They look fantastic, they have snap in boosters which I am going to dye another colour, orange maybe. I think my OH might just be able to work them out, so much easier than a terry square from a blokes point of view.
£9.99  but do they sell?0 -
Sammy - I hope everything goes smoothly with the baby - we'll all be looking forward to hearing your good news and dont forget some pics!:) xDo what you love :happyhear0
