balance transfer - 0% or long term?

hello, i've just been made redundant from my part time job and am now claiming jsa. i have a good credit rating and need to consolidate my 2 credit card debts (totalling £3632) but don't know whether to go 0% or long term as i can only pay off a little a month. any ideas on the best way to manage this? any help appreciated!!

    You're unlikely to be able to shift that level of debt onto another card whilst unemployed. Perhaps you'd do better to wait until you're back in work, ie protect your credit rating by not incurring too many searches?

    In the meantime, suggest you visit some of the other boards to see where you could save a little money elsewhere.
