look for a deguass function in the monitor controls, that might cure it, secondly move it away from anything magnetic, speakers etc.
  • Deguass incase you dont know is the U with a diagnol line going thru it.
Sorry just stating incase you dont know. You may do....

Anyway, another guess is it could be the cable that runs out from the back of the monitor / into the pc. these somtimes become bent and twists and the wires split inside.

Its a problem if the wire is fixed into the back of the monitor. but if not no worries give it a shot with a new cable could fix all ur problems...

even if its knackred. CRTs are CHEAP these days! look on eBay and collect one. Do a regional search. So are TFTs cheap for that matter. Just depends on how much you want to spend.
  • Check that the monitor lead is screwed in properly at the monitor and PC end, unscrew, and then rescrew it..

A loose connection can cause the pink issue
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

I used to (temporarily) 'cure' this on a couple of CRT monitors by giving one or two sharp thumps with the palm of my hand on the top casing. It was enough to wiggle the guns or the coils to enable things to work correctly for another day, week or month. Surprisingly, after a year of this occasional treatment the monitors still worked. (Your kilometerage may vary...!)

PS They were huge great 21" CRT monitors from 1995 that must have cost about £2500 each when new...

Thanks everyone--I should have made it clear that this is a tft monitor ,and as i've tried a cable swap and another pc',I've contacted gnr to get me a replacement as it's under warranty ---I hope!
