Main dealer servicing in South East
After being stung once too often by my local Honda garage (in Herts) with the bill for the annual service for my Honda CRV, I tried phoning other dealers. I found the nearby ones had a similar price, but if I got the service done while visiting my mother-in-law in Cornwall I could save about £100. There would be a similar saving if I use the Honda garage near my own parents, in Lancashire.
The moral for South East car owners seems to be that if you are going to be out of the South East within a month of your service due date, you could make some big savings by booking a service while you are away. Book ahead and you will probably get a courtesy car for the day, so no wasted day.
