Savings account for costly xmas 09

So, mindful that a couple of years ago Bradford & Bingley had a blinding xmas saver account I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of any products coming onto the market?? Obviously B&B wont be doing anything and thanks to the climate I doubt we will have much to choose from but we need to find as good a short term savings account as poss as we need to make every penny work
Does anyone have any thoughts??
Thanks (and apologies again for even bringing up the subject!!!)

You could try park? I don't know if they give discounts on their vouchers, perhaps give them a call?Kavanne

Stick it in a cash isa if you haven't already got one. failing that consider a "normal" savings account - either an online one with a good rate or perhaps a regular saver where you get a bonus for saving so much per month (but you've got to be sure you can keep to that payment and not "need" the money in the meantime.)0

Fixed rate Regular Saver accounts should pay 7% +.
Now is the time to open though.
Halifax have one at 7% that is unconditional on account relationship. Your own current account provider might be able to trump this.0 -

Personally I put £100 per month into a bank account for christmas. Last year I used this money for all christmas food, presents etc and had £500 left over which I keep in the account to start up for 2008 christmas, and this will probably happen again for 2009. I am quite strict and do not touch this account until November, when I start christmas shopping - I find this is better for me than Parks where you probably cannot get back any overpayments you have made.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46
Overpayments 2006-2009 = £11985; 2010 = £6170, 2011 = £5570, 2012 = £12900
