Hi there
Was wondering if anyone else had problems with this company?
They are a pattern imprinted concrete company who we enlisted their services to do our drive which is 30 ft long this summer at an extensive cost!!! They were due to start July 2008 and as we speak the job is still not finished (the colour of the steps to the drive are different and it is very slippy and needs more grip surfacing put down!) They have now sent me a letter stating due to the credit crunch they will not be back until feb 2009 to complete the job but in the meantime 2 people have fallen down on the drive.:mad::mad:
Further to this my parents also had a driveway and a garage base done at the same time which was not even flat so that it ended up them putting another layer of concrete on the top to enable a garage to go on it which is a totally different colour and as they will not come and seal it then every time you walk on the garage base the powder comes off and it walks everywhere (carpets, drive etc.)
Neither of us have recieved our warrantys either
Just wondered if anyone had any experiance and how they handled it. I have taken legal advice and am now going forward that way but am so angry

Oh dear - they've got your money, so there is nothing in it for them to correct these faults. You have to wonder whether they will be still be in business in 3 months time 'due to the credit crunch'."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
As a future lesson, NEVER pay for a job in full until it's done. Agree payments on completion of milestones!
I would get another company in to give you a quote to finish the job, then write to the original company (recorded delivery) saying that unless the driveway is finished by <insert date>, you'll be getting someone else in to finish it, and require them to return <insert amount equal to quote> to pay for this. If they don't return the money by <insert date>, then you'll be taking to the small claims court for the amount.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
