Hi can anyone help?
I installed ipassword which was ok but the trial is about to run out. Does anyone know of any other programmes I can download

  • Thanks for that but it is just a password generator from what I can see,
I need a roboform type programme. One that stores all my personal info to submit onto comping sites

There used to be tons of Mac OS 9 s/w which did this, such as TypeItForMe, but I don't know if they were converted to OS X. The guys on the MacUser Form will know though: https://www.macuser.co.uk

I researched this for a while and ended up with ipassword as its robust and user friendly, its not expensive for a one user licence

Sorry, I googled and read that iPassword was a password generator. My apologies.

OK well I don't particularly agree with letting the computer save the passwords, but you've got loads for all the competition websites so fair enough. If I understand you correctly you want a program that puts your username and password in automatically when you open the webpage. As far as I understand it this is built into Mac OSX and is called Keychain. Type Keychain into help to find out how to start using it.

  • I have been using 1Password for ages and it will generate passwords, save password for sites and loads of other stuff. Relatively inexpensive and really works well.

Which browser are you using on the Mac? I am am a happy user of Firefox 3 and there's a good free password add-in plus I am pretty sure, a form filler too. Not to mention the rather useful Macro add in I just tried this evening, FF3 is avail for Mac OS X http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0.4&os=osx&lang=en-GB

hmm... my standard safari automatically fills in forms for me when they are progammed right - name address etc etc... as it pulls it out from my personal entry in the address book program..
