I statrted a new thread over a week ago to point this out. I closed my account with 50k in immediately and put it in a 7% bond with Close Bros which I also publicised on this web site. B & B have been bailed out by Gordon Brown and his cronies so they obviously feel obliged to drop the rates.
Just noticed it is now 4.51% for the Internet Saver (Issue 3)
  • At least the inflation rate is falling... so it's not all bad news. Yet.

Fuel prices are quite clearly lower than they were over the summer, and I've noticed some food is cheaper than it was. So where are prices still rising?

What is this 'real figure' then? Or can you quite conveniently not point to any evidence?

The made-up government inflation figures include alot of items that most people (especially up north) never buy. e.g. soap and deodorant
