To be honest, the staff will appreciate anything you give. It's lovely when a parent just says or writes in a lovely handmade card (by the child) "Thank you for all you've done for (child's name) this year, they are so happy and love coming to nursery and are learning so much" That, to me is the best present I can ever receive.
I second the card idea.I was a Nursery Nurse before i had my daughter and it was the personal touches that always meant a lot to me.A card decorated by the child with personal thank-you (maybe a funny comment about a memory with them) was always appreciated.Usually had me snivelling into a tissue tho!0
