    Hello everyone

Unfortunately things have not been going well recently. My darling little nephew Joshua passed away late last night. He was doing so well but caught another infection and just couldn't fight it off.

I will always remember my little angel, he was such a lovely little boy.

Anyway, I have not made any progress with the clearing a debt a month. On one hand, I think that this no longer seems important to me but on the other I desperately want to become debt free so that when my sister feels ready to try for another baby, I can afford to spoil my niece or nephew as I should be doing with Joshua.

So with a heavy heart, I am still continuing with my mission to clear a debt a month.

im so sorry for your loss

perhaps to help motivate you clear your dates you could set yourself the aim of making a donation to a premature baby charity to help stop someone else having to go through what your family are going through at this sad time.

    you're in my thoughts xx

  • Hi Emily,

I'm so sorry to hear that - my thoughts are with you and your family.

Take care - and I like pavlovs_dog idea of the donation - this might help you...

Thank you for all of your kind messages.

I am actually planning to make some cards and sell them on behalf of the baby unit at St Marys Hospital in Portsmouth who looked after Joshua. I have been hunting around this morning trying to find some donations that would help (craft stuff mainly) and have had some kind offers from people.

I am hoping to raise a nice amount that would say thank you to all of the staff there that helped Joshua and are now supporting my sister and brother-in-law.

Thank you again for all of your support and best wishes.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss and this is a beautiful way to help the hospital - not only financially but by letting the staff know how much you appreciate their efforts.

Have you tried looking for a Freecycle group in your area? The one in our region regularly has appeals for used birthday and Christmas cards and the like which can then be used by schools and craft groups to make new cards and items.

I'm not sure exactly what type of stuff you are looking for, but it might be worth a look. http://www.freecycle.org/
