Thank you for all of your kind birthday wishes. Not been too bad a day, have got £100 in money and vouchers which I will try to spend on myself (very tempting to put it towards clearing another debt though, maybe I'll only spend half of it!!).

I've also received another mystery shopping job at a pub this time. Have got to do this on Friday or Saturday. I even had another offer which I unfortunately had to turn down.

    Take care

Hi Emily - this is the first time that I have come across your thread and I have just read it from start to finish. What a wonderful person you are and what an awful time you and your family have been through lately - you seem to keep shining through though. I am still crying over Joshuah and your Dad. I do hope you manage to achieve your goals - you are an inspiration.
All the best for the future

    Hello everyone

Just to let you all know that my first mystery shop went fine. I got all of the information I needed and filled in the questionnaire and sent it off a couple of hours later. All in all it probably took me just over an hour to do so £10 for an hour's work is not bad at all!! I've got another lined up for Friday night too and I'm feeling a bit more confident about that one now.

I've got to have my IV line fitted tomorrow afternoon which I am absolutely dreading. I'm fine when it's in but if there is anyone else reading this that has ever had a pique line fitted before then you will know how horrible it is!! The only plus point to having IV's is that I get waited on hand and foot for 2 weeks and I can't drive so I won't have to spend out on any petrol for a fortnight!! The big downside is that it hurts and one of my antibiotics smells like cat's wee so I will be going around stinking for a while!!

Anyway, thank you all once again for your kind messages.

    Best wishes

    ehallett,

What you save in petrol, you could spend on perfume?? to cover the smell of the antibiotics?? :p

If you don't ask, you don't find out!
