Can I clear a debt a month??

Hello everyone
I'm sorry I haven't posted an update for a while. I haven't been too well myself and have got to have another course of IVs at the beginning of next month. Never mind though!!
I didn't manage to clear any debts in March again, but have today paid off my Toyota HP agreement!! I have finally sold my car but not for as much as I wanted. Therefore, there isn't enough left over to clear the Alliance & Leicester loan like I wanted. However, that should be down to about £300-£400 by now so I'm really going to go Ebay mad this weekend and see if I can kill it off by the end of this month - here's hoping!!
I get my new motability car on Monday which I am really excited about. I managed to get enough from my Toyota to pay for the £500 which I've got to pay up front for the Fiesta.
I'm also looking into upping my hours again at work so I'm full-time, that will mean another £200 a month to pay off some more debt. I just really want to be debt free now more than anything.
Anyway, will try to post again more regularly.
Take care everyone

Hi There Emily, I have just read your thread from start to finish, and to be honest it was most humbling. I do have money problems (although am too scared at the moment to do a SOA!) and have had previous pregnancy problems (pretty similar to your sister) but luckily I still have my parents and I have my own good health. On top of that I do have "manageable" debt although a lot of it. It made me realise there are people a lot worse off in this world and it takes a story like yours to fully appreciate what I DO have. I am really looking forward to reading further reports from you and am absolutely rooting for you!!! I wish you all the luck in the world but to be honest I don't think you need it, I think you have what it takes all on your own...Courage, drive, ambition....to name but a few.

Hello again
Just a quickie update. Just called Alliance and Leicester and found out that I now owe them £445.04 if I pay by the end of this month or £335.15 if I pay by the end of May. I don't know if I will be able to find enough to pay by the end of this month, I really want to try so will see how far I can get, if I don't get enough then it will definately be next month.
I'm taking my mum out to bingo tonight for her birthday so hopefully I might come back richer than when I went!! £445 would be a good amount to win!!
Didn't get my new car on Monday, a complete and utter balls-up by the Ford garage - my letter of complaint is already winging it's way to them!! I'm getting the car delivered tomorrow afternoon instead.
Will post again soon when I've got some more news. If anyone has got any wonderful ideas for me to get around £450 by the end of the month then please share them with me
Also wish me luck with bingo tonight everyone - send your winning vibes to the Portsmouth area!!!
Take care

im confused? is the above a typo? Id personally wait a month if it meant paying a 100 quid less
Keep up the good work0 -

This isn't a typo - I pay out £111 a month on this loan so it's a case of paying the £111 out next month as usual and then clearing the rest before the end of May or just paying it all off and not having to pay the £111 out next month (if that makes sense!!)
Not much luck at the bingo - my Auntie won £100 (would have been £200 if some other bloke hadn't have won too!) and she split it with me, my mum and my sister so we got £25 each. Basically it means that I didn't spend anything so a free night out was good enough I suppose.
It was really horrible there though, not been to bingo before. It was like sitting in a gas chamber!! The 'non-smoking' tables were right next to the smoking tables so we had some Fag-Ash Lil puffing away next to us all evening!!
I now stink of smoke and smoking is one of my real pet hates. My lungs are probably as bad or even worse than a smoker's due to my Cystic Fibrosis - the difference is that I have done nothing to deserve it!! I see old people at the hospital all the time who have been smoking 40 a day since they were in their twenties and they feel sorry for themselves because they are having to go to hospital all the time!! I just feel like saying "how do you think I feel then, I won't even make it to your age!!", but I just bite my tongue!!
Sorry - I'll get off my soapbox now!!
