Maybe councils and PPCs are issuing more tickets incorrectly?0

its the PPC that are the prob. the guy who fined me was a total jobs worth, Id not even broken any rules :mad:0

You're seeing more because more people realise that they don't just have to roll over and pay the PPC's and sometimes even the councils. Its a shame that the councils still fine people when their signs, lines and paperwork are wrong and sometimes downright illegal.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Thanks to the publicity generated by this site, and others such as Consumer Action Group and PePipoo, internet users are becoming increasingly aware that official fines can successfully be challenged if the authority haven't followed the rules, and most privately issued charges can safely be ignored.
So it's not so much a case of people "getting away with it", more a case of Councils not getting away with sloppy procedures, and PPCs not getting away with intimidating people into paying ridiculous sums that they have no right to.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0
