I am going to Bali for my honeymoon for just under three weeks from mid June 09 to July 09. The flight is booked. Now all I need is where to stay. I want somewhere nice but reasonable. Is anyone aware of any hidden gems in Bali? (eg beach huts, log cabins etc)

It depends what you call reasonable.
One of my favourite long haul websites is this...

...and they have 21 nights in Bali for £1,428 per person.
Or you can check out one of the flowing links...

Hidden Gems?
I love the Waka Hotels (especially Waka Shorea which has some amazing snorkelling whilst based in a national park off the north west coast).
Damai Lovina on the north coast is pretty stunning (not beach front though) with amazing food & views.
No shortage of great hotels in Ubud, but Sarinbuana EcoLodge has been highly recommended by friends (http://www.baliecolodge.com/). It's not in Ubud - but would make for a great stay.
In the South it's harder as everything is busier, I love Tugu Bali and stayed there in May, depending on your budget. It's nice to feel like you are actually in Bali as opposed to some generic 300 room concrete hole.
If you want great empty beaches, consider Lombok? It's only a 25 minute flights away. Qunci Villas, Tugu Lombok are great value, whilst Vila Ombak on Gili Trawangan is cheap if you want to visit the Gili's (might be better smaller hotels there by now, but I know you can book Vila Ombak in advance). I gather the Gili's are party islands these days?
Should give you plenty of ideas to start with!0 -

Bali doesn't have great beaches. If you want beach huts, go to Gili Air, off Lombok, it's the archetypal tropical island with white sand, calm blue waters, coral reefs, and no motor vehicles (only pony and trap).
Ubud is generally lovely (cultural rather than beach destination) and has lots of upscale romantic accommodation.
Have a look at tripadvisor for reviews - Lombok has better Bali-style hotels than Bali does, and it's not as spoiled.
Not sure what you expect by reasonable. For something with a wow factor you're looking at $80 and up per night, although if you get off Bali to somewhere like the Gilis the natural beauty of the beach provides that so you don't need such elaborate accommodation.
Personally if I were going for three weeks I'd head to Java and visit Borobodur, maybe Mount Bromo.

Thanks for the comments.
We are looking to see a bit of bali - so may travel around during the three weeks. Don't want to stay in a commercial hotel all the time.
Also looking for activity ideas to do...0 -

If you're looking to do some trekking or cycling check out Bali Mountain Retreat, it's in the mountains, nice and cool and great for a honeymoon escapade.0
