On a serious note over the last year the pound has held its own against the Australian dollar or rather they have both dipped at the same rate.
£ sterling up 7% on south african Rand
but down 30% on egypt,down 20% on malaysia,and down 14% on Indian rupee.

Being fantastically rich is not much good when you are in a city where the sewage system doesn't work (so there is a cholera epidemic) and where there is not much to buy in the shops anyway.

Can someone please give me a example as to how bad Icelands economy is because from memory Iceland is pricey. EG If the price of a decent meal in a decent restraunt has dropped from say £50(our money equliveant) to £40 (our money equliv) but here in blighty it is £30.
What i am trying to reason is is it cheap or still expensive but we are not getting robbed as much
