Hi All
I am after some advice on Chicago. I have won some flights and planning to go next October, however, it appears that hotels are more expensive than I thought, and also got stresses re the exchange rate. I could book and pay upfront with Virgin, or make a reservation with others but would be exposed if the pound dropped even further against the dollar.
Totally unsure what to do and who to book hotel through for best rates etc.
Also, obviously the flights and hotel will be separate so i'll need transfers from the airport. Any ideas?

Hotels are very expensive in Chicago - it gets lots of trade shows etc so most hotel stays are for business trips.
Transfer from airport is easy - take the 'L' train (Chicago Metro) - takes about an hour to downtown Chicago. If you have a central hotel the 'L' will pass close by, unlike London it's an overground system - raised above the streets so you get great views when on it.0
