i just got a cd that i ordered of ebay for a christmas present and the case is all broken!! i think it might of been my dog when in came in the door!!! so not happy now going to see if i can get the cover at the back out and change it to one thats not broken......

Our dog does the same, he doesnt mind if it falls on the mat but if it is half in half out he goes barmy. Hopefully you will be able to change the case.

I was very excited to find the vouchers, bit sad isnt it!! Havent managed to find out about the savings book yet, probably will have to wait until the new year now.

Realised something really along the lines of you all being upset when littlies get bigger. I had thought lots about having a baby but not much about that baby becoming a child!! How thick is that!!

Hello everyone!!!! my computer has decided to break!!!!!!!!! not sure if it can be fixed so have popped up to my mums house to use their computer as was getting withdrawel symptoms!!!!!! ha ha ha!

i have found where we went wrong last month, we were so over budget with everything and my fella spent £120 in the garages!!!!!! thats the money we should of had left over when everything had been paid. spent £411 in food including a £70 freezer shop but had only budgeted £200!!! think i need to learn how to budget properly!!!
sat my fella down and told him how much he had spent and it left us with no money and he didnt believe me so i sent him off with the bank statement and a calculator!!!!! he then couldnt apoligise enough, thought i had got through to him but found his flasks by the kettle again today.:mad:

my next statement came through and its now down to £619!!!!! yay!!!! but just happened to peak at all the small print on the back and found i was paying over 20% interest!!!!!:eek:
so have changed my plan of attack and will be paying of my next card then hbos cc!!!! also found that coz we pay in over £1k a month into our bank account my overdraft is only 15% so will be my lowest percentage after my 0% runs out.

right, am off to see if my poor comuter can be brought back to life,

Glad your oh realised how much all the little bits add together! mine wont have a bank card so he cant spend but takes mine now and again and goes mad or if i have any money in my purse takes that and it drives me mad!!! lol. so i think in jan i will do a spending diary and then i can show him how much he spends!! esp as he smokes so costs a fortune and want him to quit before baby......

Glad your grandad is on the mend.

Next rip you of as with all the other store cards, its mad they can charge so much interest!! the one i need to clear in jan is 29%!!! and if i dont pay by 15th jan they will charge me the last yrs worth of interest!!!!

Nice to here your Grandad feels a bit better and I am pleased you worked out what went wrong last month, I know it was bothering you.

Next definately rip you off, its one of my lowest debts now though so hope to pay it off asap. Good grief didnt realise they could charge you a years interest in 1 go though mummy.:eek:

My OH smoked and we spent about £200+ each month on his fags, when he lost his job earlier in year at the same time we found out about Pip he quit and I am very proud of him for doing so well and saving us so much money each month.

we brought it on a 1yr 0% deal and ofcourse as our heads were buried didnt get to pay it in that yr and in the small print it says if you dont make a one of full payment within the yr they will then add the full yrs interest!!! so we def need to get it paid. i think we will be ok, but it might mean some going on a normal cc....but better then paying all that backdated interest.....

oh gave up after we had dd2 for 8mths so he knows he can do it so i really really hope he will again......we will see.......

HELP!! I need all your advice!!
I am thinking of doing the live on £4000 in 2009 challenge as I figure it would be helpful for when I am gettting no maternity pay BUT it looks really scary!!:eek:
Have any of you looked into doing it? Do you think its manageable?

Really think I would like to try but want some second, and third and fourth, opinions so sorry going to post this plea for help on all your diarys!!!

hello everyone!!!! think my pooter can be fixed!!!!!! yey!! am back on my dads at the mo, wonder if he will notice if i slide it into the changing bag??!:rolleyes:

i looked into the live on £4k, what is that a month?? crap at maths and phone too far away to reach........ think it would only work if you and your oh are both dedicated to it. my oh isnt so wouldnt work for me. i think he is getting bored of me going on about saving money to pay off debts, he just tunes out now......

sent off my letter to work today so should find out after xmas wether i will get the 3 weeks annual leave in feb before i go back. fingers crossed!

i dont know why i thought next would be any different to a store card?? maybe coz its a catalouge as well. duh!!!!!

one years interest is a bit steep mummy, you would prob pay less on a cc.

hello everyone, hope you are all ok?? pip arrived yet????

well, am being very bad at the mo and considering buying a new laptop instead of fixing mine as mine is ancient and the programmes not running well as its ancient. found an all singing and dancing ine for £360, but am gonna wait till after crimbo to see if they come down a little. fingers crossed. but miffed it will have to go on the cc but needs must, cant do many of the surveys and clicks on my old one. my dad did notice me trying to run off with his........:rolleyes:

shopping still going well, got all my xmas shopping and for the rest of the week for under the £50 budget!!!!:T

my grandad is on the mend, he was moved to the ward yesterday. he was feeling down when we got there but it only took us 15 mins to get his sense of humour to return. that has lifted my mood for xmas!!!!!!!

not done much else money saving in the past 2 days, but not spent any money either!!!!!

hope everyone continues to write on here as will be back up and running properly soon,
