I know there is 3000 posts about this carry on, but started this as not sure if this has happened before, perhaps it is.
I had the first email on the 4th Nov and nothing since then, just logged in not so long ago and was met with a different welcome than usual and was able to initiate the claim.
I done the deed and checked my email but no 2nd email has landed.
Might be an idea for people who have not had the second mail to log in now and see what's what.

Thanks very much. I think there's been just one or maybe two similar posts but the more who know the better. In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -

Just tried but nothing to click on yet:o , back to waiting for 2nd email.0 -
Great, so they go to the trouble of trying to ensure lots of people logging in don't crash the system, then some try to circumvent it.
If you've waited this long isn't it easier to hang on for that invite like the rest of us?0 -
Human nature though isn't it?
Not that it worked for me...0 -
Firstly, I wouldn't worry about the system crashing under the load of an extra few hundred people logging in. The last time I logged in, the site was as responsive as it's ever been, so there are obviously no load issues.
On the OP's topic, I've mentioned in t'other thread that I logged in and made a claim without receiving the second email, but my email address isn't routing right now. It's quite likely that they sent me the email, I just won't get it until January.
Either way, it won't hurt to log into your account and see if you get the new blurb about being able to claim.Debts (26.3% remaining) - CC/BARC: [strike]2058[/strike] 100.00 @0%; CC/MBNA: [strike]1877.75[/strike] 0.00; Loan/SLC: [strike]10000[/strike] 7901.84 @1.5%; Loan/Per: [strike]1500[/strike] 0.00; Loan/HX: [strike]15000[/strike] 0.00

If the system was going to crash I think that would have happened already, are you trying to tell me people haven't been logging in without an invite already, that's right they have all been sitting on their hands just like you!
Don't be so quick off the block, for one I can wait as long as possible, since the money I am claiming is not mine bar on paper.
Oh and was there a stipulation that people were not allowed to log into their accounts unless invited to?0 -

But the poster pointed out that he did not receive a second email, he might still be waiting in 3 weeks time if he had not tried.
I am not having a go at you by the way, :)but I do understand why people are getting desperate to get at their money, the FSCS could help by giving us a little bit more info and regularly rather than us having to read made up stories in the papers.0
