Farnborough also had them marked up at £34.99. I asked them to scan it just to check in case the system had them for £14.99, but no joy so I just put it back. At that price I'd rather pay the extra for the new Genus-1 with optical out and a proper F socket for a decent aerial cable.0 -
Thanks for this,
I went to Boot's at Bluewater and they had the 'Bug' marked up at £129.
I went to the till and asked how much it was and she said it was now £109.
I said my friend had bought on at Chatham for £54, so she called chatham
:-) and she let me have it for £54 woooooo hoooooo
So I have a new friend to talk to in the kitchen now :-)
Thanks :-)0 -

Well done, perhaps it's something that others could try then ..... If they can find one!0 -

At Curry's reported £14.99 it's worth considering even without remote control'ability. From memory it was £60 reduced to £50 for the 2004/5 Sale! Shall definitely have a look tomorrow.

Well didn't get to the Currys today (out of town) but did check in Dixons to see if there price for the DA-1 - full price £59.99!!! ie at least £20 MORE than a full DAB radio can be had for - but then this is DRG!0 -
Marked at half price. I wouldn't pay £100 for it - but £50 is reasonable at the moment. Sweet spot seems to be around the £50 for DAB at present. I got one and I must admit it is really nice. Simple wood surround, dual speakers and in Hove I get all the stations I am supposed to get and they are all crystal clear. It's scary I know, but even women's hour on radio 4 is interesting now!

ps. Just found these reviews. 15 of them, all pretty much slating the unit. I don't know if it's an updated model, but I'm happy with mine. Quality and reception are fine here. Now I've read the reviews I can hear the hum on standby. It's in the kitchen though so if I'm there it is on and that is not a problem for me.No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
Sorry L.S.D. for the delay replying, just caught up with the thread.
The Matsui DA-1s were at the Currys in Weston-super-mare. I also visited the Dixons store whilst there and they were on the shelves marked up at £19.99.
Spoke to a friend of mine this evening, and he had been there today looking for a new TV and it looked as though the DA-1s were attracting a lot of interest.
