Ok did you get the driver for win98se specifically or a different driver by
mistake or by what PNY said... as win98se does need specific drivers
Get me drift... :beer:0 -
I loaded the Win98SE version fron the PNY site for the Attache 512MB Flash Drive.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

I did restart the computer and when I connected the flash drive the computer recognised the flash drive was attached and asked for the driver - so I geuss the usb slot was clean?
The problem seems to be the downloaded software as although it said it load OK, it only took a few seconds but then the driver couldnt be found on the computer - normally any driver I have loaded take more time to uncompress and load.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Try installing the driver again but from the add new hardware wizard in
control panel if the usb is showing as new hardware in device/hardware manager.
Also I will have a look for the driver again.. it is usually only a small file so it does
install quite quickly....0 -

Many thanks for your help re flash driver - The problem was that windows couldn't find the new driver but by chance I looked into C/Window/Temp and found the new driver but at no point did the PNY installation process tell me where the driver was being unziped to.
All working fine now
Thanks once again for your help
