Thats what I said in an earlier post ... lol. Why on earth would staff let the games go out at 99p when they can make an easy profit.0

Luka - the prices only relate to new stock. I dont know why they do it that way but they do. Infact, you buy a GAME for 98p, and then ask to trade it in against something else and they will give you more than the 98p you just bought it for.0

Went into Game today, the q was all way round the shop but i managed to grab an assistant, i asked him if some of the games were 98p (i had the list of xbox games in my hand and showed him) he told me they probably were'nt as online and instore have different prices and that that they only have xiii at 98p. So could everyone please post what they bought in store and how much, then i might be brave enough to q and ask them to check. thnx0

For these Sale Prices, if you find the item instore take all of them your thinking about (saves you queuing) and ask them to price check them. If they are 98p, buy em! I wouldnt mention these online/offline things, or else they wont bother doing it. If you want a reason, tell them you saw it cheaper at another GAME store.0

Got all my games through today and I ordered 2 more copies of XIII as presents for friends. I got XIII, Breakdown and Timesplitters 2 for 98p each off the website - total cost £4.44 including p and p (all for xbox). Woo hoo!0

I went to my local Game store this morning... I saw a few of these titles but they still had old non-sale prices on them. I didn't bother to ask for them to be scanned though because about a year ago there was a similar game sale and the manager of that branch started complaining to me about how their online sale and prices were independent of their in-store prices, bla bla bla...
However i'll be checking back later today or tomorrow with the aforementioned list in hand, see if anything materialises from it
THanks.
I removed the link from my first post once Enter The Matrix had sold out (as I said I would). The prices above are for both in store and online (if you can find stock.) In many shops with stock, they won't have changed the original prices. They will scan at the lower price, though. You've got to make sure the games are new, not pre-owned. Something else to look out for is the Classics range. For example, Enter The Matrix (Xbox) Classics Range is not reduced - only the original release of the game is. The player's choice GC version is the 98p game, however. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Hey,
I just got back from my local GAME store, with the list in hand from the first post
I couldn't find any of the 98p or £1.98 sale titles out on the shelves, but I managed to get XIII for Xbox for 98p - Like I said it wasn't out on the shelves but I was told they had plenty of copies in the drawers behind the tills... I suspect its the same with other sale titles - If you can't find any sale titles out on the shelves, ask them and im sure they'll check for you and it'll scan in at the sale price
I also got Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for Xbox for £4.98 (reduced from £19.99), again, the sticker on the box said £19.99 but it scanned in at the sale price, much to the surprise of the cashier serving me.
So I paid £5.97 for games with an RRP of £30 upwards, and got myself some reward points too
Happy money saving.YO!0 -
The stock on their website https://www.game.net is continually updated and the 98p games are available in different formats - you just have to be quick :j0

I received a few 98p XBOX games that I'd ordered, yet all of them appear pre-owned... tatty, scratched cases and finger printed CDs. Surely they should state the condition of the items before sale?0
