barclaycard have reduced my credit limit with 24hrs notice i have had a card with them for many years never missed a payment and never been late with a payment and over the years they have made afew quid out of me in interest had a balance of over £2000 when i got the letter with the reduced limit i paid the balance off in full i used to spend about £1100 / 1200 per month on the card why have they done this

Are you fully utilising the full limit? CC companies are looking at customers who don't spend their full limits & if they're not then they're reducing it to a level which is reflected in the recent balances.0

been upto near the limit a time or two but never long term though0
