Advice wanted about the mess I am in!

This is the situation,

I am a student and have 3 credit cards,

2 of which I pay the minimum amount each month, the third I have not made a payment for over 6months, I have since moved house and not updated the details with the credit card company, I get calls daily from Intrum Justicia (I assume this would be connected) but am scared to answer, I want to deal with the situation but am scared to talk on the phone, can I sort this out by just writing/emailing to Intrum Justicia, with the reference number and deal with it from there.

How much trouble am I in and can it be dealt with easily?
