I downloaded Avast Anti virus sometime ago and now it says trail period is up and has asked for a product key.
I didn't think it was on a trail and thought it was freeware.
Is this correct or have I downloaded from the wrong site?
Can anyone please help me?

You need to register Avast (for free )every 12 months. Well worth doing though because it updates regularly. Any AV program is only as good as it's updates.0
