Re-selling an item you bought on Ebay

I bought an item on Ebay that didn't fit, the seller doesn't do refunds as stated in their listing so I am re-selling the item on Ebay and it has been bid up to a higher price than I paid for it. I have just had a horrible email from the woman who sold me the item in the first place calling me a cheeky b*tch and saying I will get in trouble for re-selling an item and that it is "morally wrong"
Just needed to vent, really. Won't be buying off her again, ever!

Serves her right! How funny, nice work

I'd email back and say... 'Just think, if you had a refund policy, you could have resold it yourself and made the money I'm going to'My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
She's the cheeky b*tch lol, well done for not losing out.0

Don't worry about it, I do it all the time. perfectly acceptable practice if it isn't suitable/doesn't fit.
And if you make a profit, well done!
As the poster above says, if she doesn't have a return policy, what else can you do?
I've asked buyers if I can return stuff before and been told "you might as well sell it on".0 -
Report the message for harrassment.
Also let her know that many, many people make a living from buying up badly listed items and selling them for a higher price with a proper description, and better service levels.
On the flip side, this is just another reason why it is prudent to have a separate buying and selling account!
make sure that you add the original seller to your blocked bidder list - they may be considering some auction wrecking or buying simply to leave a neg for you. Both are fixable, but prevention is better than cure!
use http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin to stop them from bidding.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I bought a pair of curtains from an Ebay seller and when they arrived didn't like them. Decided to re-sell and made a nice little profit. I don't understand why the original seller had such a bad attitude about it.
Good luck0 -
Resond saying that you have reported her for abuse (doesn't matter whether you actually do or not - should just make her sweat a bit).
Not your fault that you are a better salesperson than her

Totally agree with Steve. If you do report her then make sure you include the email she sent. Also if you decide to reply to her email, just make sure you're polite and not rude, (even if you're thinking itstevew8975 wrote: »Report the message for harrassment.

Like everyone says it happens all the time, I've done it, it will continue to happen, that's just ebay.
