Motor Legal Protection?
Hi,
My car insurance is up quite soon, just looking over my renewal details and I'm paying for
.Basic premium
.Motor legal Protection
.Guaranteed Hire Car.
Now I'm going to cancel the hire car, that is not important.
What about the motor legal protection? Is it worth keeping this or does the basic premium cover what I need?
I'm of the opinion to keep it but does anyone have an opinion on this?

It's pretty much a must. It's priceless when you need to make a claim or someone claims against you. For the little it costs, it's daft not to take it.
I used it once to batter an 18 year old !!!!!! into submission when he rear ended me at a junction then decided that he wasn't going to give his insurance details. Plod didn't want to know. After a letter from the legal cover solicitors saying that he provided his insurance details or ponied up the £550 repair costs, I got a phone call with his insurance details.0 -
I know that some insurers will let you add it to your policy (£12 or whatever it is), if you come to need it, rather than at inception. Zurich did for me, and Direct Line did for my hubby.0

I was always going to keep this option, just wondered why it's not included in a normal premium anyways.
