    It currently says 603L W1

You are still on an emergency code - W1 means that it is non-cumulative and although you are getting your tax-free allowances each week it is not taking into account tax paid in the whole year. This is why you did not get the £60 rebate.

Presumably you have now filled in a P46?

I will fill in a P46 tonight when the lass who deals with the wages is in work.
I only work part-time, 24 hours a week, so its starting to look like (given my new tax code, 624L to take account of cleaning uniforms for this and previous years) that i might actually get the whole lot back :j :j

Thank you sooooo much for your help!!!!

Yes, the operation of code 603L produced the rebate - but it has to be operated on a cumulative basis. If your employer is operating it on a week 1 basis, you need to get HMRC to remove that so that the refund kicks in.
£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths
