been cleaning the leather interior of the car ive just bought and on the rear headrests were 2 tacky bmw stickers. I've peeled em off but they've left nasty adhesive deposits behind any ideas?
I've tried zymol and liquid leather cleaner (both car products) i just wondered if any of you have any tips/old skool ways of getting it off
Think its been pretty cooked on there because of the rear screen too
cheers

Hi Glenbat,
I've always found WD40 is brilliant for getting sticky stuff off.....just spray some onto cotton wool and wipe. Failing that you can buy Zoff (adhesive remover wipes) from your local chemist.

WD40 on leather?! never heard of that before so its ok on it? doesnt mark it?0 -
I always use whitespirit for this ...0

to remove ink (biro) from leather spray a touch of hairspray onto it and rub gently - works a treat0

you could try another type of adhesive tape, sticking and peeling - but there are so many different ones, so don't go buying half a dozen just to try - my favourite is an industrial masking tape
... the stuff you've already tried may have made it less sticky though0 -

It didn't cause any problems with the leather when I removed labels in our car, but as plumb1 says it might be a good idea to check on an inconspicuous area first. Please do check as I can't afford to pay for new seats if it goes wrong.
