PC & Mac wireless broadband?

My mother has a PC and my Sister an Apple Mac, they want to get broadband and have wireless connection. Are there any conflictions that would stop this happening because of them not both having pc's (one being the Mac)?
I assume that they would both need wireless cards that would then be picked up by the wireless router?
Re the broadband what if any, other considerations would they need to take into account.

If they're using a router there shouldn't be any problem - before I switched completely to the mac I was sharing my broadband connection to a PC and a mac without any issue. As long as they both have a wireless card (called an 'airport' card on the mac) then get a wireless router, set a password and surf away.

One point to note, if you use a hex key as your password on the wireless connection then you need to prepend '$' at the front of it when prompted on the mac - save the password to the keychain and you'll never be prompted for it again...

If using a wireless router you shouldn't have a problem. If you purchase a seperate wireless adapter, you'll need to make sure the driver is supported by a Mac as quite a few are only supported on PCs.
