Hey
I have one AUX input on my Hi-Fi which I use with my TV etc but I wan't to get a Digital Radio add-on for my Hi-Fi which needs an AUX input. Is it possible to get an expander, similar to SCART socket extensions etc to give me two AUX audio inputs from one connection ?

No, it only has one AUX input, and an AUX output.
The only reason I want it is because I usually listen to the Radio via my freeview box as it's seperate to my TV and I don't need it turned on to listen. I'm getting a new TV with built in freeview though and don't want to have to keep the TV on to listen, but don't want to use my old freeview box so need an adapter.
Not sure if that makes sense at all, but it looks like that adapter should do the job, thanks0 -
Is it a proper hi-fi or some sort of MIDI nastiness? Most seperate amplifiers have multiple inputs - mine has CD, TV, AV and AUX available, all of which can be used for any audio input.
Otherwise you can buy a switch box of some sort, or an audio mixer could be used.Happy chappy0 -

I'm confused here.
If the TV has built-in Freeview, if you switch off the TV the freeview side will also shut down, so you will not be able to listen to it.
You will not be able to listen to the radio with the TV off unless you use your old Freeview box for this task.
Could you clarify what you mean here?
Do you mean that you're getting a DAB tuner for the stereo?
If the stereo is cheap enough to only have the one aux input, it might be more cost-effective to completely replace the stereo with one with a digital radio built-in rather than relying on adapters all around the place.0 -
Actually sorry I think I've worked out what you are after.
You're going to buy a DAB tuner to connect to your stereo, and want the TV connected to it as well yes? And you're going to use this little adapter box to switch between the Freeview box and the DAB unit (I'm guessing that the DAB adaptor you're looking at is that little one you can get for £40 at Dixons).
Still seems like a faff around when you can get DAB-equipped stereos for under £100.0 -
Or buy seperates at Richer Sounds.Happy chappy0
