Without going into great detail, I cannot transfer phone pics which are held in memory stick to laptop. (I've read everything but still cannot make sense of the instructons. ). Those which are on phone, do transfer.
I see there is an infra red option on the phone , but damned if I can find it on my Acer Aspire 9420, despite reading up. If anyone else has this model laptop maybe they would enlghten me. But being almost 70, I do not have the technical knowledge of youngsters.

on my k750i, any pics sent to me and saved, I no longer have a choice of "save to:- a) phone
b) memory stick,
they go straight to memory stick
any pics I take myself and save, go to phone
it is only those that trasfer via a usb cable.
Incidently, once this has been resolved, I have video clips I want to transfer to the laptop.
Oh, the phone was originally an orange phone, but I now use vodaphone so any manuals advise as if it was still an orange set-up.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Perhaps post the model number of phone then someone who has this may point you in right direction.
With my mrs's lg phone it was an option in settings for "mass storage" onclick here to achieve nothing!0 -
Open the File Manager on the phone (from the main menu grid of icons, the file manager should be 3 down on the left hand side.
Navigate and find the file you wish to transfer, be it on the phone or memory card, then click:
More, then Send then Via Infrared to transfer direct with Infra-red (this must be enabled on the PC, usually go into the BIOS/Setup at start up (long before Windows loads) and enable it, then set it up using the Start > Settings Control Panel),
or
click More then Manage Files to move to a different location (usually the Pictures folder)
(You can also use the Mark Several facility (from the More menu when viewing pictures) to "Mark" several files in one go, and then move all "Marked" files to a different location.
Then hopefully you'll see them on the memory stick.0 -
