We took out an annual Euoropean policy with EHICPLUS which is ,which allows the use of state health care. We go on a cruise next April, has any-one else used them on that basis.

I doubt there will be a state doctor on boardPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

When you say "which allows the use of state health care" do you mean that you have a pre-existing medical condition or are you planning treatment abroad? If you're using it for simple cheap travel insurance then it seems ok.
The only question mark would be that I'm wondering why they are so reluctant to publish their full address on their website, which from the FSA Public register is:
Monitor House
2a Belmont Road
Sutton
Surrey

Sorry you are wrong , I have their address without using FSA,it is in the documentation.
They would use state care and not take you to a private hospital, thats what happens to me in the UK ,so why not in the EU.
We are using the insurance for a Cruise, that is what I stated in my post.To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -

Every-one who uses the onboard doctor pays up front for medication . I have found out the answer my-self ,there is an additional charge for a cruise ,£6-50 as it happens.
Thanks for your help and support, appreciated .;)To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -

Guess it did this time .If it gives me the same protection medical that I have in the UK and it has a 24 hour bi-lingual assistance number that will be fine......thought so. Doesn't really work on forums though does it.
Anyway, read all the small print of that insurance policy to double check it suits all your needs and enjoy the cruise. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0
