Anyone notice that some of the 'bulls' here are getting narky ?

Anyway.. on topic. Of course they're getting narky. Anyone who publicly takes a bullish position where they are losing ridiculous sums of money is going to be narky. For years, some of the more unpleasant bulls have mocked those unfortunates who couldn't get on the ladder to riches, and now the tables are turned. It may well be that most of the priced out unfortunates are not actually mocking the bulls, but are just relieved that they might be able to afford a home one day. However, the sort of person who likes to rub people's noses in their 'success' is going to assume that everyone will celebrate their failure.
From where I'm standing..they have made the correct assumption.0 -

Seems too extreme to me to always expect to catch the bottom. Ive made this mistake myself, holding out for a previous high or low when really the previous low had moved up slightly
Anything predictable the market anticipates in the present price0 -
long term stocks 10+ i am a bull and until aug last year was a housing bull but turned a ultra bear and will be for the next few years.....this is how the system works...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I cannot name a HPC poster on this board who seems to give a flying * about anyone else. They seem to spend their time laughing at everyone's misfortune - even the unemployed. For heavens sake your leader has claimed he wants to be a BTLer - talk about gamekeeper turned poacher. So spare us the moral indignation in future - turns out you're no different from those you pillory.
Have you posted on the right forums here? Must have got mixed up somewhere along the way...;)0 -

Sir you are a genius, turning from market positive to market negative in the very month that the market started to drop.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I was pretty similar. Some of my first posts on these boards were about me trying to work out what was happening. I had really started to hate where I lived and while looking into moving the state of the housing market started to become apparent. I really wanted to sell up as to me it was win/win. No longer live in awful area/ sell near top and rent. But it's a pretty scary cognitive leap, by August I was convinced we should sell, but my husband took longer to convince.0 -
