I recently bought a Pentax Optio 40 and I'm really pleased with it. It takes great pictures (8 megapixels), it's simple to use and the battery life between charges is fantastic. I've just checked and it's available from Amazon for £77.00. Make sure you order a better memory card at the same time as the one supplied isn't too good. Also it doesn't come supplied with a case (a bit cheap of them!).0

Try the Samsung L series or NV series. Very good quality and great little video cameras, too. Play and Amazon stock them at around your budget.

Add an SD card for under a fiver, too.0
