Strange message

Hey guys,
wonder if you cn help me again!!

I keep getting this message whenever I move on to a different 'page' of any website :
Got the error: Gateway Timeout
while trying to obtain (insert webpage here)
clientToProxySession idle

My internet connection is fine and as far as I am aware Virgin are not having problems today here. I'm using Windows XP and IE Version 7. Any ideas what is going on??

In IE7, if you go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options you will get a pop up dialog box. Click on the 'Connections' tab and then the 'LAN Settings' button. Are any of the three check-boxes ticked and/or are there any entries in the text fields?
If so, tell us what they are. Try unclicking all boxes, press ok and try to reproduce the error.
  • The 'use automatic configuration script' box is ticked in the LAN Settings and there is text that says: http://studies.eye-square.info/2008-10-TNS_GYV/SwapMedia/proxy_en.pac

Should I remove this?? I have no idea what it is!!! Cheers Joshm!!

Well if you did not set this up, remove it.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:
  • I've no idea what it is, espresso....so I didn't want to remove it until I had checked.

    Thanks

Yes, untick the box/remove it. If you look here http://eye-square.com/ they appear to be a marketing reserach organisation that will track your internet usage.
Let us know if that makes a difference.
