SAINSBURY's Credit Card Balance Tfr. Watch Out!

If you have a sainsbury's CC and you got an offer of 5.94% balance transfer last october valid till DEC 31st watch out when you apply for it.
I was saving mine till the last minute and decided to use it today
Apparently they sent out a new offer since October extended into the new year but the 2nd offer has a 2% transfer fee where the first one doesn't
If you dont mention that you have the October to December offer they automatically try charging the transfer fee
I insisted theres no mention of a fee on the offer and they dropped it
The promotion code is B3300501 and is good until Sunday 31st. After that its a 2% fee
It looks like the 2% fee is a new trend as a way of extracting more of our hard earned cash. Halifax are even doing it with new customers. I can only imagine other cards will follow and I doub't if theres much we can do about it.
