Hi I hope this is the right place to post this, every time I log on to my comp, it says I have no room on recovery D. I have tried disk defrag and cleanup but it has made little difference, could someone please tell me if there is anything else I could try? Any help appreciated lol

this sounds like a recovery drive which isn't/shouldn't be used during everyday use so no worry at all
You might want to find out who has been writing files to this drive to cause this message, as really it should just be left alone and not usedclick here to achieve nothing!0 -
You can turn off the low disc space warning. It's a PITA but sadly a lot of computers set up with a recovery partition do exactly the same.0

So does this mean that I dont need to worry about it being full? Also nobody has been using the laptop but me and I dont write files anywhere. Is it possible that there are things on there I may not need and could delete, or is it best left alone? No you don't need to worry about it being full. Basically, they put a recovery disk image and application on that partition and make it just big enough to hold that. Unfortunately, it usually has the effect of triggering the low disc space warning as the paritition is typically only a couple of hundred MB or so larger than the data on it.
You could create a recovery disc and then you don't need that partition and can either remove the partition and extend the C: drive one or just delete its contents and use it to store files.0 -
Thankyou so much for that, it is much clearer thanks, any idea how big the disc would need to be to store all info, I tried this before but it said not enough space tyiaClixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

If it's Vista, it's a DVD around 4GB depending on how much pre-installed junk was on it.0
