Query about non-english speaking holiday resorts- cheaper option?

Query about non-english speaking holiday resorts- cheaper option?

Just a random question I was wondering about.

I’m looking for cheap package holidays at the moment and have been surfing around to get an idea of the price when I came across one holiday with I think the coop. The holiday was significantly cheaper than others to the same location as it was in a resort which catered predominantly to Italian customers on the Cape Verde islands, meaning that Italian was the main language of the resort, though some of the staff would be able to speak English, or so the website informed us. Now, I am not fussy what language is spoken at a resort when all I want is to lie on the beach most of the day and you can usually make yourself understood somehow. (that and I also have the advantage of speaking four European languages so generally get around pretty well, at least usually, though i've probably just set myself up for a fall here).

So what I wondered is (sorry it took me so long to get to the point): Are there websites/tour operators etc which offer or provide information on these kinds of holidays and are these non English speaking resorts a viable option for saving money?

Purely as an example, on the other side of the bay from Magaluf on Majorca, El Arenal caters predominantly to Dutch and German tourists. Would there be cheaper holidays available there? Would this be the same on other resorts?

any information on this would be very much appreciated, thanks!

Diy holidays are cheaper and can be cheaper in the non traditional UK tourist preferred resorts, I doubt tour operators would do this.

DIY holidays are cheaper but be wary as with the collapse of XL airlines DIY holiday makers who booked just flights with them had to find their own way home. With a package holiday the company gets you home. If you book your flights with CC they will refund you the original flight cost but the replacement flight cost is down to you (or maybe your insurance if it covers).
