Anyone using Firefox 3?
I am and today, for no reason that I can find it stopped showing google ads and amazon ads.
I was using 3.0 so upgraded to 3.0.4 but that didn't help.
I've been right through the options but can't find anything that helps. All the ads are there when I view sites in IE, but no ads show in Firefox.

You installed the adblock plus extension?
Try running firefox in safe mode:
go to start > all programs > mozilla firefox > firefox (safe mode)
if they appear in safe mode then its probably caused by an extension0 -

Nope, the ads don't appear, although a couple of Amazon ads have appeared, banner ads and the search box. But no other Amazon ads and no google ads.0 -
Thats because they're mostly flash based ads now so you need to go to https://www.adobe.com and download the flash plugin.0

do you not like adblock plus then ??0 -
You must be on an unlimited monthly download package. Just think of the amount of data it could save you if you used it.geordie_joe wrote: »Not in this lifetime!0 -

I don't know, I have never tried it, or even heard of it until now.
As I make money from adverts I need to see my own ads and those of my competitors. So the thought of blocking ads has never entered my head.0 -

Not my download is limited. See above for the reason.
I do save data by not watching videos or aimlessly surfing the net. Nor do I download large pictures or any files I don't really need.0 -

you don't make your money from me, then, ABP and noscript installed, it shocks me to use other people's computers and see the garish flashing banners offering them millions or a new car etc..
my internet experience is advert free (though obviously this also means i don't contribute to the sites I visit via clickthroughs)Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0
