First Choice Costa Del Sol Holiday Village & Travelling with a baby

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has been to the above and can give us any tips / advice? We are going in March next year. Also we are travelling with an infant, he will be 15 months when we go (yes I have read the thread on babies and aircraft and will do my best to keep him quiet!) and wondered if anyone could give us any tips on travelling with a baby as we have never done this before.

Thanks,
Flis

Stay calm! They more tense and worried you are about the journey, the more baby will sense it and play up!

Take plenty of nappies just in case you are delayed and a change of clothing in case of accidents, You need to put any nappy creams, tubs of hand cleaner gel etc., in a clear plastic bag. At Manchester, these were freely available at security.

Take a drink so baby has something to drink at take off and landing in case his ears go funny. You can buy water and juice in airside shops due to the liquid restrictions.

If he's travelling on your knee, he won't get an inflight meal. You either have to take food for him, or share yours.

Take some things to keep him amused. Especially something new or an existing toy that hasn't been played with for ages so he thinks it's new!

You can keep your pushchair until boarding the plane. Tell them at check in that you want to keep it. They'll give you a baggage label for it, then staff will take it from you at the gate before you board.

Babies are pretty adaptable and tend to just go with the flow if you are relaxed too. I've taken mine away when they were babies and not really had any major problems.
Here I go again on my own....
