Cardiff Parking Problem

After dead ends with the happy people at NCP and no real help form the council I have my fingers crossed on some local help!

I am looking for overnight parking for a scooter as close as possible to the Cardiff central station.

I have tried the other options; bus (too unpredictable), walking (too long), cycling (still too long - call me lazy!), train to heath (connecting train doesn't work time wise). I own the scooter and could pay for a monthly or quaterly pass or whatever to bring the cost down.

Is it possible to do this near the station, anybody ever tried it before?

There maybe some options in the roads not that far from central around Riverside & Grangetown. Might be worth you having a drive around to see what you can spot.

If it's a one-off, what about a taxi instead?

What about advertising on Gumtree and seeing if there is anyone in the apartment blocks around town with a parking space to rent? There are enough buildings within five minutes walk of the station that have secure parking.
