I deseprately need help, I've just bought a full size projector (the same as you see in a pub/club) and know I will need help in setting it up - preferably getting someone in the know to set it up for me!!
Does anyone know of any companies around the Slough Area that could do this or any person that does this for a living that wouldn't mind earning a little extra on the side?

It is quite simple really, so I'll try and talk it through to you. Hopefully, you should have a VGA cable. (for receiving the signal from the computer - like a monitor cable) If you are planning to run the projector from a laptop, you can simply connect the other end of the VGA cable to your secondary monitor port on your laptop. Note: You will most likely need to press a CRT/LCD button with (usually) an FN button to tell the laptop to show the image on the projector.
If you are using a computer, you have two options. You can either use the projector as a secondary "monitor", which means you would need two VGA outputs on your Graphics Card. This (once set up correctly) allows you to have one thing open on your computer screen and one thing on the projector screen. Your other, easier option, would be to buy a VGA signal splitter. This intervenes the connection from your computer to monitor, and allows you to connect the projector and the monitor. i.e. It splits one plug into two VGA ports where you can plug-in two devices and show the screen on both at the same time. (Don't know if I have explained that very well)
I hope this helps, tigermatt0 -
Have you got it for watching telly or PC stuff (powerpoint presentations etc...)?0

I've bought it to watch TV & DVD's, maybe the odd PS2 game.
It is a CRT projector, the Seleco 150.
Need to find someone who can set it up on the cheap for me, looks a bit too technical!Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0 -
There is a company in Reading ?? ( it's around there somewhere) called Maverick, they have an AV installation company called Pro-install who may be able to help.0
