  • Right-click My Computer and click Properties. Look on the General tab for OS info.
  • On windows xp type in 'winver'
or alternatively open My Computer then click 'Help' > 'About Windows'

There was a thread on this a while back. I'll dig it out for you... Here it is: [thread]128702[/thread]. It is related to Windows98 but the methods of finding out the version of operating system are still the same.

if you have directX installed, then run dxdiag from the run command
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

Good utility I had forgotten about that

    Thanks for that.

Wouldn't it be good if there was a little notepad permanantly available where you could store commands and other little nuggets of info, like that one. :xmastree:

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

I just use a Word Document to keep all of my useful information. I find it very handy, especially when you turn the Document Map on!
