I cant say for a Dell 8400, P4 HD 3.2Ghz, 160gb HDD, 1056mb RAM, 256mb Graphics I got for under £400 is expensive. Id say you buy bananas and you get monkeys.

PCPro magazine have this as their A-List budget PC, looks good.

But do check out the Dell budget ones, just don't pay for too many options thats where they make the money.

my computer has been great i got a lot for the £499 but its all down to the individual obviously, i saw one in a mailing through the door today at miller brothers for £299.99 but no printer with it, it may not be for you but hope it of use to someone :T

Bigpockets has some good pc base units from time to time. Worth keeping an eye on.

I got a Packard Bell with a 1 year on site warranty (£69 to extend it for another 2 years), it was pretty high spec and a real bargain.
