Im about to buy the {HA 4221} **Black** Pioneer DVR-110 (16x) DVD+/-R/RW/RAM 11-in-1 MultiWriter
At http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/drivescddvd.html
This item is sold as a bare drive. No cables, installation screws or software is included. We do sell IDE and Internal Power Splitter cables in our Internal PC Cables section. We also have some options for software writing. To understand the features of Nero suite 1 and Nero suite 3 see the explanation in our software section.
Does this mean i will have to buy more stuff if so could you advise me what to buy and where from??
Thank you

:hello: A simple answer is Yes, you have to buy additional kit unless you already have:
- Some sort of Burning Software on your computer which has DVD support.
- Some installation screws for screwing it in.
- A spare port on an IDE cable in your computer case for connecting the drive.
With the mentioned drive, you have no software for compiling your own DVDs so you have to source it from elsewhere.
You may be better off getting all of your equipment from one place. I recommend eBuyer. You can purchase Nero Express V6.6 which has DVD support, and a decent (but cheap :money:!) LG DVD-RW or some other well known brand. eBuyer also sell CyberLink PowerDVD for playing DVDs via your DVD-RW.0 -
if you already have an existing Cd drive in the slot then the cables and screws you want are on the old oneEx forum ambassador

may be best to swap old cd player for the new one, this means you dont need to buy any more bits.
